Get Involved: Appalachian Education Initiative (AEI)

AEI is the West Virginia affiliate of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network

 

Since its inception in 2001, AEI has been dedicated to ensuring that quality arts education should be a central part of the education of every public school student in West Virginia.

 

AEI needs your support! Get involved in the following ways today:

 

Join AEI and Get Connected:

·          Join AEI as a member – it’s free – sign up online today at www.aeiarts.org.

·          Join us on Facebook, LinkedIn and/or Twitter.

·          Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/aeiarts 

 

Create an AEI Group or Hold an Event:

·          Create an AEI group in your company, organization, club, school, church, neighborhood, etc. Enroll your organization and its members on our website at www.aeiarts.org.

·          Host an AEI House Party to discuss ways you can advocate for the arts in education in your community and your school system.

·          Host an AEI Town Hall forum in your workplace, school or community to discuss ways you can advocate for the arts in your area.

·          Promote AEI’s mission at your school, community and corporate events.

·          Contact AEI today to plan and make arrangements for you event via phone (304) 225-0101 or email lkaras@aeiarts.org. 

 

Make a Donation – There are many ways you can contribute:

·          Make a monetary donation to AEI online at www.aeiarts.org.  No amount is too small.

·          Become an AEI fundraising captain – contact us at (304) 225.0101 for more information.

·          Donate goods and services needed to support AEI's work around the state.

 

Spread the Word:

·          Encourage others to become an AEI member at www.aeiarts.org.

·          Promote others to join AEI’s social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) groups.

·          Spread the message about AEI’s mission at your next PTA, Athletics Club, Organizational, Corporate, and/or school function.

·          Tell your neighbors and community about AEI and its important work.

·          Invite AEI to your PTA or organization meeting; contact AEI to speak to your students, school or organization; or, contact us to share your ideas via phone (304) 225-0101 or email lkaras@aeiarts.org.

 

Kennedy Center Alliance Information:

AEI is the West Virginia affiliate of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network (KCAAEN).  KCAAEN is a coalition of statewide non-profit organizations working in partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to support policies, practices, programs and partnerships that ensure the arts are an essential part of American K-12 education.
