In addition to the theatre program at school, Shreve has been involved in National Honor Society, Upward Bound, Astronomy Club, Pulsar Research Academy and the Pullman Community Center. Brittany was nominated by her theatre teacher, Gregory Der who said "Brittany is one of those special people who puts her heart into her performances. She is one of those passionate people who goes "all out" to make sure she does the best possible job. She is willing to help with props, costumes, lighting, sound, etc. Her passion is palpable and she is a terrific motivator for the other cast and crew members. She has been a pleasure in my class!

According to Brittany, " “Life has many ups and downs, and art…it has a way of just taking my mind off it all. Art allows me to see a blank sheet of paper, canvas, or stage and put what I wish upon it. I can just let all the worries and feelings I have at the time out just spill out and attack what I’m doing. Art allows me to be myself.”
